The Veil – Music Video

“The experience of working with Ian was very positive for a number of reasons. He took the time to understand my work (in this case a vocal track, called The Veil, with specific messages and an unusual theme). He listened to my inspiration for it and asked the right questions so we could arrive at a mutual agreement on the possibilities and limitations of a creative interpretation of it.

We only had 48 hours from concept to the wrap of the shoot, which included preproduction (choosing location, getting permission, procuring props, and creating Ian’s meticulous storyboard and shoot schedule, which defined all the shots needed in every scene and the order of shooting).

What stood out most was Ian’s passion for his work and his ability to work creatively and proactively in challenging circumstances (little time & to a budget) and with attention to detail. He was flexible, full of ideas, and always open to a retake if a hair or word was out of place. He was truly committed to delivering the best film possible and his generosity of spirit indeed made that happen.

The professionals that Ian brought in to complete the online edit (David and Jamie) added real magic to a production that had grown in scope and ambition, and Ian and his team took it all in their stride and surpassed all my expectations with their capabilities, ideas. and commitment.
